Specifically, my project is developing a presentation excellence evaluation. In other words, I have to develop a scale to determine if a website is "good" or not. I do not know where to start? One question that I do have is this: How does one evaluate the speed, accuracy, quality, and tech capabilities of a site? Or what exactly makes a "good" site? We live in an ironic state where we rely more & more upon computers to do things which were better (though less efficient) in human hands. A face, an audiable voice, a soul....a human. The forests that I loved as a child are now Wal-Mart. People that I used to meet are now cathode letters through a plastic screen. People are more than ideas and words; they have a laugh, they get hurt, they sing. I side more with the Walden's of our age. The anti-locomotive of our current revolution. I miss people. I love real human simplicity, not false simplicity supported by technology. The computer is our tool and my bane. It has become more vital than the automobile. The fact that they call us "gen X" symbolizes the fact that this generation marks the point in time where names have almost become meaningless. Why do we all want to change the world? Cause we all feel like an 'X'.! Why do we fell that way?
