N.Z. Bear points me to
N.Z. Bear points me to the BlogMD project, which is trying to come up with a system for Weblog metadata. This would make it easier to find blogs based on subject matter or other criteria. Most Web metadata schemes have failed, in part because brute force approaches (see, e.g. Google) wind up being good enough, but blogs seem uniquely suited to a metadata because of their personal nature and semi-automated construction.
