Why Wi?
InfoWorld:Alliance aims at interoperability for wireless gadgets
Interop is good, and it's nice to see consumer electronics companies like Kodak and Philips joining together with networking vendors. On the other hand, what are ultra-wideband companies doing creating a group whose name (WiMedia) is obviously designed to evoke WiFi, a competing technology? There's more here than meets the eye.
