WiFi evolution

Engim just announced its multi-band wireless LAN switching chipsets. The company claims that, by simultaneously decoding multiple 802.11a/b/g channels, access points using its chips will be able to offer total capacity in excess of 500Mbps, with differentiated quality of service. Things like this and Vivato make me optimistic the WiFi market is about to go through a significant structural evolution.
